• Where:  Start under the west end of the Verrazano Narrows bridge on Staten Island and go north to the Staten Island Ferry.
   

• 3.5 miles, gentle hills. 
   
• Highlights:  Beautiful views of the bridge, the old fortifications, and of Brooklyn and Manhattan.
   

• Characteristics:  Mostly gentle hills.  Urban traffic.
