  • where:  Start at the south tip of Manhattan island at the Staten Island Ferry, then west to the Hudson River, then north on the west side of Manhattan island, and cross the  George Washington Bridge to finish in New Jersey.

  • 14 miles, flat to gentle.

The last part of that route, starting around mile 36, goes from the Staten Island Ferry north to the George Washington Bridge. 

There are several ways to mix this with other other routes: 

- - West Side Path
- - GWB to Central Park

or take other side trips to see the sights of Manhattan.
